Who says there are no second acts in life?
Martha Stewart went from being a model to the queen of all homemaking. John Glenn was a pioneering astronaut — and then a United States senator. Heck, Ronald Reagan started out as a semi-popular actor, and ended up as a super-popular, semi-competent president.
And then there's Evan Seinfeld. (No, no relation to Jerry, as far as we know, but, yes, Jewish, with a huge Star of David tattoo smack in the middle of his stomach.) Evan first became known as the bass player and vocalist for hardcore punk/heavy metal band Biohazard. He then left the band to become a... pornographic actor.
Perhaps some second acts should go unseen...
