According to some, director Nancy Meyers is the "Michael Bay of romantic comedy". What did she do to deserve such a claim? What horrors has she unleashed on humanity?

Her first feature was "The Parent Trap" with a pre-teen Lindsay Lohan. Those were the days.

After that, it was Mel Gibson schlock "What Women Want". This was followed by "Something's Gotta Give", "The Holiday", and "It's Complicated". All supposed romantic comedies. All greatly forgettable. All complete wastes of time.

So does that make Michael Bay, the "Nancy Meyers of brainless blockbusters"? Say what you want about Meyers, but that's definitely a step up for Bay...
